Project Overview
We were commissioned to revitalize a historic estate's courtyard into a captivating garden that honors the
traditions of English landscape design while incorporating modern elegance. The result is a refined outdoor
space that embodies both serenity and sophistication, ideal for leisure and hosting.
Key Features
Sculptural Elements: Timeless stone sculptures are strategically placed to enhance the
garden’s grandeur, creating a sense of history and cultural richness.
Gravel Courtyard: A spacious gravel courtyard provides a versatile open area, perfect
for gatherings and as a visual centerpiece of the garden.
Geometric Topiaries: Meticulously shaped topiary shrubs add order and elegance,
bringing a contemporary touch to the classical layout.
Water Fountain: A beautifully crafted central fountain adds a calming water feature,
becoming a focal point that enhances the garden’s tranquil atmosphere.
Lush Green Walls: Ivy-clad walls create a natural, verdant backdrop that softens the
architectural elements and seamlessly integrates the garden with its surroundings.
Seating Areas: Comfortable benches are placed throughout, offering inviting spots for
relaxation and quiet reflection amidst the garden’s beauty.
Technical Specifications
Irrigation System: An advanced irrigation system with automated controls and moisture
sensors ensures efficient water use, supporting the garden’s sustainability.
Lighting: Discreet, energy-efficient LED lighting highlights key garden features,
providing subtle illumination that enhances evening ambiance.
Soil Composition: Enhanced with a mix of organic compost and high-quality topsoil to
foster healthy plant growth and sustainability.
Hardscaping Materials:
Pathways: Finely crushed limestone for a durable yet aesthetically pleasing surface.
Edging: Rust-resistant steel edging for a contemporary, clean finish that contrasts beautifully with
the greenery.
Plant Selection: Focused on hardy, low-maintenance species that thrive in the local
climate, ensuring year-round visual appeal and minimal upkeep.
Challenges and Solutions
The uneven terrain of the estate posed initial challenges, which we overcame by implementing a series of
elegant terraces, designed to manage water flow naturally. Additionally, a sophisticated drainage system was
installed to prevent waterlogging, ensuring the garden's health and longevity.
